Material examined. No material available.

Remarks. This species needs to be re-studied based on type material because its identity is not well established. It may be a synonym of M. laevis (Ribaut) based on the length of the aedeagal processes which are longer than in the other species from Pakistan. However, although the original drawings of M. shahidi are poor, the aedeagal shaft is shown as much shorter than in M. laevis . Type specimens and data were not specified in the original description. Although the type depository was probably ZMUK, no type specimen could be found there.
