Hemibagrus hoevenii (Bleeker, 1846) NR

Remarks. Hemibagrus hoevenii ( Bleeker, 1846a) is herein presented as a new record for Brunei based on at least one specimen from Sungai Ingei (Belait basin) collected in 2012. The black upper and lower margins of the caudal fin are characteristic of this species. Ng & Kottelat (2013b: 242) recorded this species, which also inhabits brackish water, from Miri and Marudi, the Sarawak towns along the Sungai Baram near the southern border of Brunei.
