Remarks. New record based on specimens from Sungei Ingei (Belait basin) collected in 2012. However, this species may have been recorded as Kryptopterus limpok by Sulaiman & Shahdan (2003: 57) from Tasek Merimbun. They described the specimens as having a ‘long head’ with ‘barbels greatly reduced’ and ‘very large teeth’, characters that fit this species rather than Kryptopterus limpok .
