Neoseiulus subreticulatus (Wu) View in CoL was originally described as Amblyseius subreticulatus based on adult females and males collected from Artemisia sp. , citrus, grass and Pyrus sp. in Heilongjiang, Jiangxi, Jilin, Liaoning and Xinjiang, China by Wu (1987). It was subsequently recorded in Guangdong and Guangxi ( Wu et al. 2009). Wu (1987) compared N. subreticulatus with N. reticulatus (Oudemans) View in CoL redescribed by Nesbitt (1951), Cunliffe and Baker (1953) and Chant (1959) but unfortunately, overlooked Neoseiulus zwoelferi (Dosse) View in CoL . Thanks to İsmail Döker reminder, we re-checked the key characters of the type specimens of N. subreticulatus (Wu) and speciemens in our collection, confirming N. subreticulatus (Wu) to be a junior synonym of Neoseiulus zwoelferi (Dosse) View in CoL .
