Diagnosis. The species can be recognized by the small sized wing having broad black streaks contrasting with the white ground. The male genitalia are diagnosed by the straight valva, the obovate anellus lobe with a robust apical bristle and the short and stout aedeagus. The ductus bursae of the female genitalia is longer than those of its allies and the posterior 1/2 is twisted.

Description. Adult ( Fig. 15H View FIGURE 15 ). Wingspan 11.0−12.0 mm. Head white. Labial palpus white; in male stout, segment I long, black on outer surface, segment II as long as I, segment III 1.5 times as long as II, black on ventral surface, hair pencil reaching apex of III; in female slender, segment I very short, segment III nearly as long as II, black on ventral surface. Antenna with scape white except posterior margin black; flagellum dark brown except basal 1/4 or 1/3 of dorsal surface white, male cilia slightly longer than diameter. Thorax white, posterior 1/2 or 1/3 black at middle. Tegula white except anterior margin black. Forewing ground color white, apical area light brown, sometimes strongly mixed with black; apical spot slightly elongate, often tinged inwardly with grey scales, apex falcate; markings black: a broad costal band from base to near apex, interrupted by a very narrow white streak running from 1/2 of costa, this streak obliquely extended toward termen but not exceeding costal band; beyond this a short costal streak from distal 1/4 or 1/5 of wing, confluent with former costal band about half way across wing; beyond this two inwardly oblique costal strigulae alternating with white scales before apical spot; a very broad, outwardly oblique streak from dorsum near base, running toward costa and meeting costal band approximately at basal 1/3 of wing; beyond middle of wing a large, subtrapezoidal patch on dorsum, its anterior margin narrowly elongate as a slender streak and running toward apical spot, sometimes meeting costal band and streak distally; fringe on apical area white with basal and terminal black bands, on termen metallic fuscous except base white, on dorsum grey. Hindwing grey, sometimes black at apex; fringe grey except apical area black distally. Legs mixed white and cream; fore femur, tibia and tarsus black on outer surface; mid tibia with a black oblique streak at base and in distal 1/2 outer surface, respectively; hind tibia with a very narrow, often indistinct streak near apex on outer surface; mid and hind tarsi with tarsomere I broadly black at middle, II and III black in basal half of outer surface.

Male sternum VIII ( Fig. 26G View FIGURE 26 ). Approximately 1/5 length of abdomen, lateral margins gradually narrowing toward posterior apex; apex shortly bifid in U-shaped.

Male genitalia ( Fig. 40A View FIGURE 40 ). Uncus tongue-shaped. Gnathos hook long and simple. Tegumen approximately 3 times as long as uncus. Valva narrow, costa nearly straight, ventral margin narrowed at base, slightly concave at distal 1/3, round apically. Anellus lobe elongate-obovate, slightly shorter than 1/3 length of valva, with a robust and straight apical bristle directing inward. Juxta broadly convex, with long sparse setae. Vinculum with posterior margin shortly produced at middle. Saccus triangular, as long as tegumen pedunculus. Aedeagus short and stout, with basal 1/2 globular, then gradually narrowed distally, apex with a short tooth on dorsal margin.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 56C View FIGURE 56 ). Papillae anales simple. Apophyses anteriores slightly shorter than apophyses posteriores. Sternum VIII longer than tergum VIII, with anterior margin broadly convex. Ostium bursae round, opening at middle of sternum VIII. Ductus bursae long, broader toward corpus bursae, anterior 1/2 twisted, with a short triangular sclerite at base. Corpus bursae ovate, approximately 2/3 length of ductus bursae; signum round, consisting of minute denticles, bulged inward, placed near entrance of ductus bursae.

Distribution. China (Xizang, Yunnan).

Etymology. The species name is from Latin anthracinus (coal black), referring to the black streaks on the forewing.
