T hailand: ―PENINSULAR. Nakhon Si Thammarat: Nam Tok Yong National Park, 9 February 2005, L. W. Williams 1291 (BKF, E).
Distribution: ― Cambodia (Bokor National park), Vietnam ( Annam, Bach Ma National Park), Thailand (Peninsular).
Ecology: ―Under semi-shaded evergreen forest at a high elevation of 900‒ 960 m.
Notes: ―This species has the largest leaves and the longest bracts among the Thai species of Lasianthus . Lasianthus giganteus was first reported in Thailand by Naiki et al. (2017). Its clearly differ from other Lasianthus by its large leaves that are 21‒31 × 9‒11 cm, elliptic to lanceolate, petioles 15‒25 mm long, 16‒17 pairs of secondary veins, stipules triangular, persistent and very hard when dried, 3–7 × 3–5 mm, calyx tube campanulate, pilose.
