Lasianthus stipularis is mostly glabrous, the leaf blades are membraneceous, apex cuspidate-caudate, base cuspidate-cuneate, stipules persistent, broadly ovate, covering the cymes, up to 1.5 cm long, cymes sessile, bracts numerous, linear to narrowly lanceolate and villous, 1‒1.5 cm long, drupes ovoid, glabrous, 4–5 mm diameter with 4 pyrenes.
