T hailand: ―PENINSULAR. Yala: Than To district, 17 June 1992, K. Larsen et al. 42951 (AAU, BKF). 10 February 2004, D. J. Middleton et al. 2908 (BKF).
Distribution: ―Endemic to Peninsular Thailand.
Ecology: ―It grows in shade on sandy loam in an area where palms and Dipterocarpaceae dominate at elevations of 200– 260 m.
Note: ―Morphologically L. kailarsenii is close to L. lancilobus Zhu (2012:51) in the Malesian region. It differs by having glabrous leaves, branches, and drupes, and peduncles that are 2.5‒4 mm long. Lasianthus lancilobus is hirsute on branches and leaves, has verrucose drupes, and peduncles that are 25‒30 mm long.
