This species is identified here from the original description and the key by Cavalleri and Mound (2012). This species is similar to F. difficilis Hood and F. gardeniae Moulton in body color, antennal segment III pedicel, and the long slender comb on tergite VIII. In contrast the main setae of F. condei are dark brown, antennal segment III is brown, and the apex of abdominal segment X is brown. This last feature is observed in F. graminis and F. bambusae , however in contrast these species have the head slightly projecting in front between the eyes. Also F. bambusae has a pair of pore plates on sternite III and F. graminis has weakly developed am and aa pronotal setae.

The holotype female of F. condei was collected from a bromeliad in Brazil and was later recorded in Brazil from nectarines ( Pinent et al. 2008) and citrus ( Monteiro 2002). However, these two records were misidentifications of F. musaeperda Hood ( Cavalleri & Mound, 2012; Lima & Miyasato, 2017). Therefore, the specimens from Argentina listed below are the first to be taken since the description. Also, in these specimens it was possible to confirm the presence of metanotal campaniform sensilla; Cavalleri and Mound (2012) were unable to see these on the holotype due to the poor state of preservation.

In Argentina, F. condei was found in Jujuy and Salta on the flowers of lemon, and the following re-description is based on these specimens.

Female macroptera. Body mainly yellow, head and pronotum darker than rest; antennal segment I pale yellow, III and V yellow with distal quarter light brown, segment II, distal half of IV and VI–VIII brown; distal quarter of abdominal segment X brown; ocellar crescent dark orange; fore wing pale yellow; all main setae dark brown. Head quadrangular, about 0.7 times as long as wide, cheeks scarcely convergent to base; ocellar setae pair III about four times longer than ocellar diameter, arising at middle on the virtual line between anterior and posterior ocelli; six pairs of postocular setae, pair IV as long as the distance between bases of ocellar pair III, occiput with four well marked sculpture lines and some less marked lines close together posterior to eyes. Antennal segment III pedicel with a sharp-edged disk. Pronotum almost as long as wide with sculpture lines weak; am, aa and pa setae almost equal in length and comparatively longer; four minor setae on anterior margin between am setae, discal area with 16–18 minor short setae. Mesonotum with transverse lines close together. Metanotum with reticulate lines of sculpture, paired campaniform sensilla present. Abdominal tergites IV–VIII with ctenidia laterally; VIII with a complete posteromarginal comb of microtrichia arising from triangular bases; S1 setae on IX scarcely shorter than S2 and S3. Sternites II –VII without discal setae and pore plates.

Male unknown.

Pronotum, length (width)) 114–115 (186–218); am 84–98, aa 84–98, pa I 91 –105, pa II 91 –98, pm ii 49 –56. Fore wing, length (width) 899– 940 (60). Abdominal tergite IX length 70–105, S1 setae 119–133, S2 setae 147–154, S3 setae 147–154; abdominal tergite X length 63–84, S1 setae 154–168, S2 setae 133–154. Antennal segments length (width): 28 (28–35), 42–49 (22–28), 63–70 (21), 56–63 (21), 42–49 (14-17), 56 (14–17), 7 (7), 14 (6–7).
