Description. Length of male 4.6 mm, female 5.3–5.5 mm. Coloration predominantly pale yellow ventrally, black and orange dorsally, markings symmetrical but somewhat variable among specimens in size and tint; frontoclypeus with pair of large black lateral spots anterad of eyes; gena below eye black, crown mostly orange, apex white, keels mesad of eyes marked with black. Pronotum orange with pair of black posterolateral maculae continuous with adjacent spots on mesonotum. Forewing mostly black with large ovoid orange area near middle of corium extended to claval suture and costal margin, clavus with area between first anal vein and commisural margin orange, additional small irregular orange marking more distad on corium, clear ovoid area present preapically. Front tibia, apex of hind tibia, and hind tarsomere III dark brown. Head with crown of male ~1.3X longer and that of female ~1.5X longer than width between eyes. Male with sternum III apodemes short, not extended to posterior margin of sternite. Pygofer spine elongate, nearly straight in both lateral and ventral views. Subgenital plates with 10–11 macrosetae. Aedeagus with shaft nearly straight through most of length with pair of apical spines, pair of smaller anterodorsal spines near midlength and smaller dorsal spine near base. Female sternite VII with short, obtusely angulate median projection.

Etymology. The species name refers to the country of origin, Thailand, formerly Siam.
