Chinavia pontagrossensis (Frey-da-Silva & Grazia)

( Figs. 4 View FIGURE 4 i, 5g, 7; table 3)

Acrosternum (Chinavia) pontagrossensis Frey-da-Silva & Grazia 2001, 113, 117–120. Chinavia pontagrossensis: Schwertner & Grazia 2007 , 420, 424, 432.

Diagnosis. External margins of pronotum, hemelytra and connexivum with a narrow orange band. Black spots present on the anterior and posterior margins of the connexivum and on the cicatrices of the scutellum. Humeral angles rounded.

Male genitalia ( Figs. 5 View FIGURE 5 g and 7). Pygophore subtrapezoidal. Posterolateral angles ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 ) projected well beyond the ventral rim and tapering at the apex in dorsal view. Posterolateral angles strongly folded over the genital cup, almost touching the dorsal rim. Flaps of the ventral rim strongly enlarged, blackened at the external margins and without a curved hook-like projection. Lateral margins of pygophore sinuous. Median projection of dorsal rim slightly concave. Median excavation of the ventral rim V-shaped in a posterior view ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 c). Ventral wall of pygophore with a continuous carina, extending from one side to the other ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 b). Segment X dorsally flattened. Parameres facing laterad, flattened and with concolorous apices.

Adult size. 11–13mm.

Distribution. Brazil (PR, SP).

Material examined. Holotype: Ponta Grossa (PR), Brazil, DZRS (1♀); Ponta Grossa (PR), Panizzii col., DZRS (3♀); Campos do Jordão, Brazil (SP), MNRJ (1♂).

Comments. This species is very similar to C. rideri and C. erythrocnemis , distinguished by the absence of a colored spot at the apex of the scutellum and by the green femora.
