Acrosternum (Chinavia) nigropictum: Rolston 1983 , 106, 128; Frey-da-Silva & Grazia 2001, 110. Chinavia nigropicta: Schwertner & Grazia 2007 , 422, 430.

Diagnosis. Body mostly light brown. Cicatrices of the pronotum entirely black. Two rectangular black spots on the anterior region of the scutellum.

Head. Margins of juga with a moderate concavity in front of eyes; apex of head semicircular. Proportion of antennal segments: I<II<III<IV≈V. Rostrum surpassing the metacoxae. Tylus, antennae and base of the head black.

Thorax. Anterolateral margins of pronotum with a strong submarginal dorsal depression. Cicatrices of pronotum black. Propleura and tibia red. Humeral angles rounded, without black spots.

Abdomen. Abdominal spine reaching metacoxae. Abdominal sutures well marked in black. Spiracles concolorous with the body. Connexivum without black spots.

Male genitalia. Unknown.

Female genitalia. Gonocoxites 8 flattened and laterotergites 9 slightly concave. Posterior margins of the gonocoxites 8 straight. Gonocoxite 9 concave.

Adult size. 15mm.

Distribution. Brazil (AM).

Material examined. Lectotype: Manaus (AM—Brazil), Breddin col., 1968, DEI (1♀).

Comments. This species has a unique coloration pattern within the genus, with the body light brown and several black spots along the scutellum and pronotum.
