Aclis (Amblyspira) immaculata Dall, 1927: 71 View in CoL .

Type material. Holotype (herein examined): USNM 108037 View Materials .

Type locality. USA: Georgia state: off Georgia, USFC sta. 2668; 30°58′30″N, 79°38′30″W, 538 m; Steamer Albatross col., 05/v/1886. The locality is not “off Fernandina” as stated in the original description (vide station number of the original label).

Material examined. The holotype.

Remarks. The present species has inconspicuous shell features, but the almost flat teleoconch whorls and the relatively shorter aperture, not advanced anteriorly contrast with other Aclis species. Besides that, SEM images available for study indicate that the teleoconch does not present the microscopic spiral striae typical of Aclis . A new classification in the genus Fusceulima Laseron, 1955 is here proposed, since the shell morphology of the present species follows the diagnosis provided by Souza & Pimenta (2014).
