Remarks. The species is widespread throughout West and Central Africa ( Beinhundner 2017b; Schoolmeesters 2019; Serrano et al. 2020). There are several formally described subspecies in this taxon, probably some of them without taxonomic value (14 in Beinhundner 2017b; 12 in Schoolmeesters 2019). The larva of the third instar of C. africana africana was described by Kühbander & Carl (1994). The species is syntopic with Chondrorrhina abbreviata (Fabricius, 1792) in Béli locality. Ecological data were provided by Holm & Marais (1992) for C. africana subsuturalis (Kraatz, 1891) . It is a new species record for GAB Administrative Region of Guinea-Bissau.
