Genus Porphyronota Burmeister, 1842

The genus was revised by Holm (1990a) followed by several species descriptions up to the present number of eighteen valid species in the genus ( Beinhundner 2017b). One species was recorded for Guinea-Bissau ( Brivio 1958).
