Distribution in Guinea-Bissau (Administrative Regions): 1) CAC.

Historic records:

— Suzana (=Susana) (CAC) ( Brivio 1958).

Material examined: none.

Remarks. A polymorphic species (12 to 16 subspecies, e.g. Allard 1991; Krajcik 2008a; Beinhundner 2017b) distributed throughout western and eastern Africa since Senegal-Sudan-Egypt to the Republic of South Africa ( Allard 1991; Krajcik 2008a; Rohwedder 2011; Beinhundner 2017b). The third instar larva was described by Jerath & Unny (1965). Mudge et al. (2012) provided ecological data (e.g. abundance, habitat preference, phenology) for GHA, giving additional notes for other countries.
