Genus Phonotaenia Kraatz, 1880

This is another problematic/controversial genus (see comments in Serrano et al. 2020). The genus has 17 species ( Beinhundner 2017b) of which two were previously recorded for Guinea-Bissau ( Janson 1907; Brivio 1958;Antoine 2005).
