Identification. The specimens are juvenile and, thus, difficult to identify to species level. The yellowish-ochre shell with light brown spiral bands, along with the tallerthan-wide elliptical aperture are reminiscent of published figures of P. levior (G.B. Sowerby III, 1909) , known from the Amazon River in Amazonas and Pará states, Brazil ( Simone 2006). The genus has a convoluted taxonomy, however, and P. levior in particular is considered a taxon inquirendum (MolluscaBase 2020).
