Identification. This species is identified by its compar- atively small size, the somewhat flattened and step-like profile of the spire, and the low and convex sections of the body whorl above and below the median keel. The present record is the first actual report of the species from Acre, but it is a logical occurrence given that the species’ distribution encompasses that state.
