Coccinella marussii Kapur, 1973: 374 (Holotype female, Trieste; Type locality: Karakoram range / Stak Valley); Poorani 2002a: 326; Kovář 2005: 132 View Cited Treatment .

Kapur (1973) described it based on a single female specimen from the Karakoram range. He found it to be “moderately convex and smaller in size but otherwise similar to Coccinella septempunctata ”. Kovář (2005) included it in the transversoguttata species group.

Distribution: A rare species with a limited distribution restricted to parts of northwestern India (Kashmir), northernmost Pakistan and the Karakoram range ( Kapur 1973; Kovář 2005).
