Lectotype (Tryon in Rhodora 41: 421. 1939): Clayton 665 (BM-000051169).

Current name: Calystegia sepium (L.) R. Br. var. repens (L.) A. Gray View in CoL ( Convolvulaceae ).

Note: Although Brummitt (in Kew Bull. 35: 329. 1980) indicated a Plumier plate as type, his choice is pre-dated by that of Tryon.
