Taxonomy. Original description: Cyprinodon ginaonis Holly 1929: 63 [2] [Hot spring at Ginao, north of Bandar Abbas, southeastern Iran; Syntypes: (3) NMW 13800-02 View Materials (1, 1, 1)] .
