Record as epibiont on cnidarians: This species was described attached on the hydrothecae of Campanularia volubilis (Linnaeus, 1758) from coast of the North Sea near Ostend, Belgium ( Fraipont 1877).
Record as epibiont on other hosts: The species under name Ophryodendron belgicum var. stellatum Wailes, 1925 was registered on polychaete Syllis armillaris (O.F. Müller, 1776) from Gabriola passage, Canadian Pacific coast ( Wailes 1943).
