Diagnosis. Wingspan 13.0–15.0 mm. The forewing pattern is similar to those of the above two species, but it can be distinguished by the male genitalia as follows: median lobe on ventral margin of valva smaller, lacking spines, not followed by a deep emargination; the cucullus more elongated; and the aedeagus with a sickle-shaped apical plate of banded cornutus.

Material examined. Since the species was described, no additional records have appeared. The lectotype is deposited in NHMUK, London (3, India, Khasi Hills , Assam, iii 1907, gen. slide no. Clarke-8814) is the only available specimen .
