Biology. Sandy habitats. On Artemisia abrotanum (Asteraceae) ( Lukjanovitch 1928; Medvedev 1950a).

Notes. C. adumbratus was mistakenly considered as synonym of C. altaicus Gebler, 1830 ( Ter-Minasian 1988); meanwhile occurrence of C. altaicus is restricted to Kazakhstan and West Siberia (Fremuth & Meregalli 2013). Historical records of C. altaicus ( Lukjanovitch 1928; Kryshtal 1949; Medvedev 1950b; Nemirovskaya 1954; Kharakoz 1955; Globova 1958) in Ukraine are obviously based on misidentification or mislabeled material.
