Description of song: Chorthippus dichrous male calling song generally consists of a non-synchronized short phrase ( Fig. 13 View FIGURE 13 B). The calling song durations vary between 350 and 750 ms, depending on the number of syllables. The numbers and structures of pulses in the syllables cannot observe clearly because of the unsynchronized movement of the both legs ( Stumpner & Helversen 1994; Fig. 13 View FIGURE 13 C).
