Description of Vibrio fluvialis CAU 1684 View in CoL

Cells are Gram-stain-negative, non-flagellated, and rod shaped. Colonies are cream colored after incubation for 3 days on MA at 30° C. In the API 20NE system, positive for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, esculin hydrolysis, gelatin hydrolysis, β -galactosidase, and cytochrome oxidase; but negative for urease. D-Glucose, L-arabinose, D-mannose, D-mannitol, N -acetyl-D-glucosamine, D-maltose, potassium gluconate, capric acid, malic acid, and trisodium citrate are utilized as sole carbon sources; while adipic acid and phenylacetic acid are not. Strain CAU 1684 About CAU (= NIBRBAC000509671) was isolated from a soil sample at Incheon, Republic of Korea .
