Minutaleyrodes tricolorata Pushpa and Sundararaj, 2010: 48–50 . Syn. nov.

Material examined: Minutaleyrodes tricolorata Pushpa and Sundararaj : Holotype, India, Karnataka, Srinkeri , on Strychnos sp., 14.vi.2007, R. Pushpa ( NFIC-FRI # 21875 ).

Hosts. Celastraceae : Salacia fruticosa ; Loganiaceae : Strychnos sp. ( Pushpa and Sundararaj, 2010); Staphyleaceae : Turpinia malabarica ( Meganathan and David, 1994) ; Cannabaceae : Celtis philippensis ( Dubey and Ko, 2008) .

Distribution. India: Karnataka ( Pushpa and Sundararaj, 2010).

Remarks. The thoracic ( Fig. 54 ) and caudal tracheal folds ( Fig. 56 ) are deeply invaginated, and the dorsal cuticle usually folds along the moulting sutures ( Fig. 55 ). Examination of the holotype of M. tricolorata revealed that the cephalothorax lacks submedian tubercles ( Figs 52, 53 ), contrary to the illustration in Pushpa and Sundararaj, (2010), and no other differences were observed; hence, M. tricolorata Pushpa and Sundararaj syn. nov. is regarded as a junior synonym of D. turpiniae Meganathan and David.
