This is a relatively small genus consisting of 7 valid species that are known exclusively from the Mediterranean and Africa ( Table 1 View Table 1 ). Five additional species names are of uncertain taxonomic status ( Table 2 View Table 2 ). A new record of a Neaetha species given below has extended the distribution of the genus as far south as Botswana.
