( Figs. 10 View FIGURES 1–10 , 93–100 View FIGURES 86–100 ; Tab. 2 View TABLE 2 )

Eggs barrel-shaped; operculum circular and convex; chorion light brown and opaque, except for the operculum ochre and bright; chorion surface almost smooth or with irregular projections; aero-micropylar processes short and white ( Fig. 10 View FIGURES 1–10 ).

In the SEM, chorion surface nearly smooth at some areas of lateral wall and almost the whole anterior pole ( Figs. 93, 94 View FIGURES 86–100 ). At those areas, small circular projections grant the chorion a granulated aspect ( Fig. 95 View FIGURES 86–100 ). Lateral wall of the egg and, sometimes, central area of the operculum have mushroom-like projections ( Figs. 96, 97 View FIGURES 86–100 ). Projections with irregular edges, spongy texture, and a central depression, which does not seem to be continuous with the internal part of the egg ( Fig. 98 View FIGURES 86–100 ). Mushroom-like projections more numerous, higher and more irregular at anterior pole, near aero-micropylar processes ( Fig. 99 View FIGURES 86–100 ). Aero-micropylar processes small, with a very short stalk and an apical piriform portion, with a central hole ( Fig. 99 View FIGURES 86–100 ); surface with spongy aspect at larger magnification ( Fig. 100 View FIGURES 86–100 ).
