Diagnosis. Mandibles yellowish-white, with a row of small teeth at apex (as in Fig. 112 View FIGURES 103–112 ); flagellum pale brown, 0.7× as long as width of mesoscutum, F4 0.7× as long as wide, apex of clava pointed ( Figs 12 View FIGURES 7–12 , 61 View FIGURES 58–64 ); frons between scrobes and eyes and vertex with strong reticulation ( Figs 87 View FIGURES 84–91 , 104 View FIGURES 103–112 ); occipital margin with an edge behind ocellar triangle ( Fig. 87 View FIGURES 84–91 ); mesoscutum and mesoscutellum with same colour and reticulation ( Fig. 34 View FIGURES 31–36 ); mesoscutellum convex; dorsellum ±flat, smooth and shiny, posterior margin ±evenly rounded; fore wing with 2–4 setae in apico-dorsal part of costal cell, completely hyaline ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 7–12 ); fore coxa white, mid coxa yellowish-brown ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 7–12 ); gaster ( Fig. 34 View FIGURES 31–36 ) 1.6× as long as wide; Gt 1 0.4× as long as length of gaster, dorsal surface smooth, posterior margin curved slightly forwards; Gt 6 0.1× as long as length of gaster with anterior part 1.8× as wide as width of posterior part, posterior margin straight with sharp edge.

Description (female holotype). Length 1.8 mm. Frons between scrobes and eyes and vertex with strong reticulation, scrobes smooth. Mandibles with a row of small teeth at apex. Occipital margin with a sharp edge behind ocellar triangle. Dorsellum weakly concave medially, smooth and shiny, posterior margin ±evenly rounded with a few small dents medially. Propodeal callus with 14 setae. Fore wing with five setae on dorsal surface of submarginal vein; with 14 admarginal setae; costal cell with a row of 12 setae on ventral surface, apico-dorsal margin with two setae; speculum distinct and closed below. Gaster long ovate; Gt 1 smooth and shiny without sculpture, remaining tergites with weak reticulation; Gt 1 with posterior margin curved slightly forwards, Gt 6 with posterior margin straight.

Colour. Head black with metallic green tinges, scrobes black. Mandibles yellowish-white.Antennae pale brown. Mesosoma black with metallic tinges. Fore coxa white, mid coxa yellowish-brown, hind coxa black with metallic tinges; remaining parts of legs yellowish-white. Gt 1 black with metallic blue tinges, remaining tergites black with metallic tinges.

Distribution. Costa Rica.

Etymology. Referring to type locality. Karen Mogensen Private Reserve is situated on the Nicoya Peninsula.
