Specimens. MZUC 11420 (adult male). 9 November 1963. Barinitas, estado Barinas. MZUC 11207. (adult female). 29 November 1963, Rio Santo Domingo, estado Barinas.

Remarks. Hemidactylus palaichtus is the only native Hemidactylus in Venezuela. All these H. palaichthus specimens were originally identified as H. mabouia by RDB.
