Kerala — Subhash Babu & Thomas (2007); Rajasthan — Biswas (1971); Maharashtra — Rane (2004); Tamil Nadu — Raghunathan & Suresh Kumar (2002, 2009); “ India up to Kashmir in the North”— Korovchinsky (2004); Orissa, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal — Korovchinsky (2004); South India — Brehm (1953).

Remarks. Valid species described from Sri Lanka ( Daday 1898). Just this taxon, probably, was misidentified earlier by many authors as “ P. bidentata ”.

Distribution. Tropics of the eastern hemisphere up to the Amur River basin in the north ( Korovchinsky 2004, 2010).
