Indian records. Southwest coast of India — Madhupratap (1987); General record— Raghunathan & Suresh Kumar (2002, 2003).

Remarks. Valid species described from Baltic Sea ( Leuckart 1859).

Distribution. Widely distributed in the World Ocean ( Rivier 1998).
