Remarks. Valid species described from United Kingdom ( Baird 1843) and recently redescribed by Van Damme & Dumont (2007) based on European material. Non-European populations need to be revised and contain cryptic species ( Van Damme & Dumont 2007).

Murugan et al. (1998), Raghunathan & Suresh Kumar (2003) represented both Pseudochydorus globosus (Baird) and Chydorus globosus Baird, 1843 wrongly in their list, as two separate taxa.

Distribution. Cosmopolitan ( Smirnov 1996), but this is likely a species group ( Van Damme & Dumont 2007). Present in the Oriental zone (Tanaka & Ohtaka 2010).
