Types. Male holotype from Parque Nacional da Serra do Divisor, Cruzeiro do Sul, Acre, Brazil [07°40’S, 72°39’W], 20.III.1997, L. Resende & S. Vieira leg. ( IBSP 12253 View Materials ). Paratype: one female, same locality and data as holotype ( MCTP 33352 View Materials ) GoogleMaps .

Etymology. The specific name is a noun and refers to the type locality.

Diagnosis. The males of T. acreana sp. nov. ( Fig. 130) resemble those of T. onca sp. nov. in the divided apex of the median apophysis ( Fig. 112), but can be distinguished by a prolateral expansion on the median apophysis ( Fig. 131), by the short and thick tip of the ental branch of RTA ( Fig. 132) and by the blunt projection at the base of EnB ( Fig. 133, white arrow). The females resemble those of T. caracarai sp. nov. ( Fig. 119) in the excavated middle field of the epigynum, but can be distinguished by the wider copulatory ducts and slender head of spermathecae ( Fig. 135).

Description. Male (Holotype, Acre, Brazil, IBSP 12253). Total length 4.98. Carapace 2.82 long, 2.65 wide, light brown, with a thin lateral band formed by small white bristles; fovea elongated. Clypeus yellow to light brown, 0.32 high. Anterior eye row straight, 0.68 wide ( Fig. 23); posterior recurved, 1.22 wide. Eye diameters, interdistances, and median ocular quadrangle: AME 0.14, ALE 0.10, PME 0.16, PLE 0.18; AME-AME 0.10, AME-ALE 0.07, PME-PME 0.26, PME-PLE 0.24, OQA 0.38, OQP 0.60, OQH 0.44. Chelicerae light yellow, laterally depressed and with a small tuft of white bristles laterally ( Fig. 23). Sternum yellow, glabrous; 1.42 long, 1.48 wide. Labium light brown, 0.40 long, 0.46 wide. Legs light brown; relative length: I-II-IV-III, I—femur 4.06/ patella-tibia 5.22/ metatarsus 3.32/ tarsus 1.41/ total 14.01; II—4.23/ 4.99/ 3.23/ 1.49/ 13.94; III—3.23/ 3.73/ 2.57/ 1.24/ 10.77; IV—4.15/ 5.06/ 2.49/ 1.66/ 13.36. Ventral pairs of macrosetae on tibiae: I-4; II-4; III-3; IV-4. Abdomen 1.90 long, dark yellow with a small group of dark brown bristles anteriorly; with two pairs of sigillae. Venter yellow, with scattered bristles. Palpus with a lateral expanded median apophysis ( Figs 130, 131). Ental branch of RTA with a lateral expansion and with a small blunt projection at the base ( Figs 132, 133). Ectal branch of RTA short, with a thin and folded apex ( Fig. 133).

Female (Paratype, Acre, Brazil, MCTP 33352). Total length 6.64. Carapace 3.56 long, 2.65 wide, colour as in male. Clypeus yellow, 0.30 high. Anterior eye row slightly procurved, 0.84 wide; posterior recurved, 1.34 wide. Eye diameters, interdistances, and median ocular quadrangle: AME 0.14, ALE 0.10, PME 0.16, PLE 0.18; AME- AME 0.16, AME-ALE 0.11, PME-PME 0.28, PME-PLE 0.26, OQA 0.48, OQP 0.68, OQH 0.42. Chelicerae light brown, glabrous. Sternum yellow, 1.82 long, 1.84 wide. Labium as in male, 0.48 long, 0.49 wide. Legs yellow, unmarked; relative length: IV-I-II-III, I—femur 4.73/ patella-tibia 6.64/ metatarsus 3.81/ tarsus 1.66/ total 16.84; II—4.81/ 5.72/ 3.73/ 1.65/ 15.91; III—3.65/ 4.73/ 2.82/ 1.32/ 12.52; IV—4.98/ 5.97/ 4.15/ 2.05/ 17.15. Ventral pairs of macrosetae on tibiae: I-4; II-4; III-3; IV-4. Superior tarsal claw with seven teeth and inferior with one tooth ( Fig. 136). Abdomen 3.54 long, colour as in male. Epigynum with deep lateral excavation on the middle field ( Fig. 134). Copulatory ducts wide and with a thick border ( Fig. 135). Head of spermathecae slender ( Fig. 135).
