Etymology:— reflecting the salt marsh region in the mangrove habitat from where the holotype was collected.

Holotype:— MFLU 23-0400 View Materials

Saprobic on decaying wood in mangrove habitats. Sexual morph: Undetermined. Asexual morph: Hyphomycetous. Colonies on the natural substrate, scattered, gregarious, superficial, black, powdery. Conidiophores 5–15 × 1–2 µm (x = 9 × 1.2 µm, n = 4), thick-walled, brown to green brown, macronematous, rarely micronematous, erect to slightly curved, short, branched or unbranched, arising from hyphae, slightly constricted at the septa. Conidiogenous cells 3–7 × 2–6 µm (x = 5 × 4 µm, n = 12), blastic, terminal, determinate, integrated, pale brown. Conidia 7–14 × 4–12 µm (x = 10 × 8 µm, n = 24), solitary or formed in chains, muriform, unevenly dictyoseptate, subglobose to ellipsoidal, verrucose, peacock green when immature and brown to dark brown when mature.

Culture characteristics:— Colonies on PDA, reaching 3–4 cm diam. after 10 days at 25 ° C, entire edge, flattened to effuse, circular, superficial, dense, grey to greenish, velvety.

Material examined:— THAILAND. Prachuap Khiri Khan Province: Pran Buri District , decaying wood of unidentified plant, 23 March 2021, C.J. Prematunga, DJC01 ( MFLU 23-0400 View Materials , holotype), ex-type culture MFLUCC 22 View Materials 00-54.
