Diagnosis. Diagnostic features distinguishing Colpolopha from other related genera are given in Table 1.

Geographic distribution. The genus Colpolopha is distributed in Central America ( Costa Rica and Panama) and the upper half of South America ( Venezuela, Guyana, Surinam, French Guyana, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, and Brazil).
