Neotype. Portugal. Rua D'Alge, Freixo de Espada à Cinta: 1♀ VI/1950 (no collector on label), on slide ( NHMD 212226 ).

Current status: Junior synonym of Berberentulus capensis (Womersley, 1931) ( Tuxen 1964, Szeptycki 2007).

Additional notes: Neotype designated by Tuxen (1964).
