Holotype. Canada. Richardson Mountains: 1♀ 25/VI/1948 M. Hammer leg., on slide ( NHMD 209738 ).

Current status: Valid name.

Original combination: Acerentulus canadensis . Transferred to Verrucoentomon by Imadaté (1981). Additional notes: Shrubovych et al. (2015) added morphological characters to this species.
