Lophomilia albicosta Yoshimoto, 1995 , Moths of Nepal. Tinea View in CoL , 14 (Supplement 2): 74, Pl. 116: 11. Type-locality: Nepal, Pulchouki Mt. Holotype: male, preserved in NSM, Tokyo.

Material examined. CHINA: 1 male, “Tapaishan im Tsiling Sued Shansi Ca. 1700 m, 29.vi.1936 (H. Höne leg.)”, prep. 2093 ZFMK VK. Coll. ZFMK; type series in the collection of NSM (Tokyo).

Diagnosis. Lophomilia albicosta ( Fig. 18 View FIGURES 17 – 24 ) can be recognized by the dark brownish-grey forewing with darker streaks between veins in submedial field; wingpattern expressed by contrasting wide yellowish-cream band along costa and one wide cream area with brown transversal postmedial line. Wingspan 28–29 mm. In male genitalia ( Fig. 35 View FIGURES 33 – 39 ) all structures slender, uncus short, pointed, juxta narrow, deeply cleft basally, wide and plate-like medially; valva with parallel costal and ventral margins; costa not separated from membranous valva; sacculus small, saccular extension thin and weak; clasper fused with costa at the base, directed longitudinally; harpe thin, weak, slightly curved at apex. Aedeagus rather thin, with long coecum; vesica bulbous, with two diverticula, one armed with a patch of short cornuti. Female not examined.

Distribution and Biology. ( Fig. 57 View FIGURES 50 – 57 ). Cental Nepal, Central China. The type specimens were collected in April (4.iv.1992), June (29.vi.1936) and August (17.viii.1991) at elevations of 1000–1300 m in the Godavari village and Mt. Phulchouki near Kathmandu. Probably bivoltine, with adults occuring in hillside forest. The species is reported here from China for the first time.
