Holotype: Male, Butu Caves, Kuala Lampur, Malasya ( NHMUK).

Dist.: MALASYA: reported from Butu Caves (Kuala Lampur) {3°14’N 101°41’E}, GoogleMaps Bukit Kutu {3°32’”N 101°42’E } and Petaling district {3°06’N 101°34’E}. GoogleMaps

Refs.: Brunetti, 1927: 293 (des.); Edwards, 1932: 218–220 (com., status rev.), 219 (figs.); Oldroyd, 1947: 21–22 (dist.); Nagatomi et al., 1999: 60 (key), 61 (cat.).

Remark: Oldroyd (1947) mentions a specimen from Naraikkadu, India {8°42’N 77°44’E} identified as V. orientalis at NHMUK, however this record needs to be corroborated.
