Type species: Asilus albiceps Meigen, 1820 Meigen (1820: 312) .
The one Korean species. Philonicus albiceps is typical of the genus with the distinct male epandrial lobes ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 1 – 12 ) and spines on the female cerci ( Fig. 66 View FIGURES 58 – 66 ).
