Type: INDONESIA. W. Java: Province Banten, C. L. Blume s.n. (Lectotype L-908.332-1057!, fragments of lectotype BM-001048521!; designated by Holttum & Edwards 1986) .
Homotypic synonym:— Dryopsis adnata (Blume) Holttum & Edwards (1986: 190) .
Note: — Holttum & Edwards (1986) cited L-908.332-1057 as holotype of Aspidium adnatum Blume , but they in fact lectotypified the name. There was no holotype designated in the protologue and there are more than single original element at L .
Heterotypic synonym:— Polystichum truncatulum Alderwerelt van Rosenburgh (1914: 60) . Type: INDONESIA. Java: Gunung Gedeh , 9000 ft, C. G . Matthew 577 (holotype BO, not found, isotype K) .
This species occurs in Indonesia (Ambon, Sulawesi, Java, Sumatra) and Malaysia (Sabah) .
