Pacific Portholefish. To 27.6 cm ( 10.9 in) SL (Quéro et al. in Quéro et al. 1990). Circumglobal; western Pacific Ocean north to northern Japan (Aizawa in Nakabo 2002); eastern Pacific at 40°N to 30°S, not in tropical Pacific Ocean (Watson in Moser 1996). Depth: near surface to 800 m ( 2,624 ft) (Schaefer et al. in Smith and Heemstra 1986).
