Naked Puffer or Smooth Puffer. To 35.2 cm ( 13.9 in) TL ( Cota-Gómez et al. 1998). Lagunas Ojo de Liebre-Guerrero Negro, central Baja California ( Cota-Gómez et al. 1998) to Gulf of California ( Walker and Bussing 1996), and Chiapas, Mexico ( González-Acosta et al. 2018).
