King Harbor, southern California ( Pondella and Craig 2001); Rocas Chester (27°53’N, 115°04’W), Isla de Cedros, central Baja California ( Pondella and Craig 2001), and Islas San Benito ( Pondella and Craig 2001) to Puerto Pizarro, Peru ( Chirichigno and Vélez 1998), including Gulf of California ( Allen and Robertson 1994), Islas Galápagos ( Grove and Lavenberg 1997), and many other offshore islands ( Robertson and Allen 2002).
