Bahía Magdalena, southern Baja California ( Gotshall 1998) and Gulf of California ( Thomson et al. 1979) to Ecuador ( Béarez 1996), including southern tip of Baja California ( Thomson et al. 1979), and Islas Galápagos ( Grove and Lavenberg 1997).
