Gulf Grouper. To 198 cm (6.5 ft) TL ( Eschmeyer and Herald 1983). La Jolla, southern California to Mazatlán, Mexico ( Miller and Lea 1972), including Gulf of California (Heemstra in Fischer et al. 1995).
