Etymology. Lat. simplex , ‘simple’, pes, ‘leg’.

Diagnosis. Rather small species, with eyes broadly separated on face. Third antennal segment with apex much lengthened, acute-pointed. Costa with a distinct short swelling, reaching to the level of tp, occupying slightly less than half the width of the subcostal cell. All femora ventrally without bristles; mid and hind tibiae poorly bristled. Hypopygium rather large, oblique to the axis of the abdomen.

Material examined. H male: Tjibodas, 5000–6000 Fuss, Koningsberger (in Instituut voor Taxonomische Zoologie, Amsterdam).
